Three Things I'm Loving

​Moving provides a great opportunity to organize and rethink how you do things. At least it has for me! Here are some things that I am loving as I get back into teaching here in North Carolina: 

Mr. Sock Monkey

​Mr. Sock Monkey – This little guy has brought so many smiles to lessons in the last couple of weeks! Makes me wonder why I didn’t pull him out sooner. Sitting tall on the piano bench is so much more fun when Mr. Sock Monkey is on your head!

Pencil Box of Fun!

​Pencil Holder – This may seem like a very small thing to get excited about, but I have lots of little things that I like to have on hand while teaching and until a couple of weeks ago, they were all thrown into a plastic bag together. And then I found this cool pencil holder – that is two sided! It holds all my “little things” and keeps them organized. Plus, I can easily slip it in my bag to bring with me.

Now little fingers can reach the keys!

​Carpet Strips – Sometimes you can find the best deals at the dollar store, even when you are not looking for them. I found these long strips of double-sided carpet at the Dollar Tree. After cutting them in half, they are great for adding height to the piano bench. I love cheap and effective solutions to problems!
