Performing in a recital can be a very nerve-wracking activity. But with the correct preparation, you can play confidently…and calmly! The key is preparation. The more ready you are for the recital, the better you will feel playing. Here are some tips to help you prepare.

I am so excited for our upcoming Spring Recital! The date and time are finalized and the students are working hard at polishing their pieces. We are teaming together with the students of Mrs. Kathi Pope and Mrs. Gina Zverev. Directions to First Baptist Church can be found at FBCRockford.org.   A box violin can be a very fun way to acquaint a young 2 or 3 year-old child with the violin, without taking the risk of he or she breaking a real violin. These cardboard box violins are very simple and easy to make. Once they are made, you can teach your child about the parts of a violin, how to hold the violin, and how to stand still. You can also play many fun games that teach beginner rhythms to give your child a great musical start.
