Raise your hand if you love practicing your scales! …Hmmmm, why didn’t you raise your hand? Doesn’t practicing your scales just bring joy to soul?? Haha, I’m right there with you. Scales are one of those things that you know you should do and everyone says how wonderful it is for you do practice them. But really, I don’t enjoy it at all...until this book.  The best scales book ever! Here are three of the things that I am loving this month: Mr. Potato Head Playing Cards, "Scales Bootcamp", and live concerts. Mr. Potato Head Playing Cards: I found this playing cards at a thrift store a couple of weeks ago. My students and I have been having so much fun using them in lessons. Our favorite game right now is to pick a card to tell us how many time we have to do the next thing on the list…gets pretty funny when a student picks 9 or 10!! For a twist, if a student picks a cards with a letter on it, I have to do the next thing when they get to watch.  Mr. Potato Head Cards |
