3 Things I'm Loving this October

Here are three of the things that I am loving this month: Mr. Potato Head Playing Cards, "Scales Bootcamp", and live concerts. 

Mr. Potato Head Playing Cards: ​I found this playing cards at a thrift store a couple of weeks ago. My students and I have been having so much fun using them in lessons. Our favorite game right now is to pick a card to tell us how many time we have to do the next thing on the list…gets pretty funny when a student picks 9 or 10!! For a twist, if a student picks a cards with a letter on it, I have to do the next thing when they get to watch.

"Scales Bootcamp": ​Who loves practicing scales?? I haven’t met a student who does. I have a feeling this book is going to help change that. I’m not going to say any more because I am going to do a book review of this book soon! Stay tuned!

Live Concerts: ​There is nothing like listening to great music live. I am thankful for opportunities to hear great musicians perform wonderful music. I recently got to hear David Kim play the 2nd movement of the Bach Double. Wow! Unforgettable!
