High School & Adult Piano Lessons
|
Adult music lessons are probably some of my favorite lessons to teach. Lessons are either solo 45 to 60-minutes long and tailored to meet your goals or 50-60 minutes buddy lessons. Buddy lessons are perfect if you have a friend who would love to learn as well or if you are a very social person would loves to have extra social interaction in your learning experience.
You may be completely new to music, or returning to an instrument after taking lessons as a kid. Whatever your goals may be, we will work with you to develop a plan to help you achieve that goal. When are the piano lessons? Lessons are on Monday-Thursdays during the mornings or after school hours. |
Do I need a piano at home?
You definitely need some kind of a practice instrument. Acoustic pianos are always best, but a weighted keyboard can suffice for the beginning stages. For more advice on your first instrument see this piano buying guide.
How much practice is necessary?
This depends on the level and age of the student, and how fast they want to progress. The most important thing is that practice happens every day and that weekly assignments are completed. That said this is how long it will normally take to practice what I assign:
Student Recitals:
Getting to share music with others is one of the best parts of learning to play an instrument! We hold two recitals every year, which all students are welcome to perform in, but you are not required to perform.
What type of music can I learn?
We teach any and all genre’s of music that a student wants to learn. Nothing is off the menu!
Although some classical music is generally necessary for good progress to be made, you are by no means limited to classical. Our students learn pop, jazz, blues, punk, and rock – if the student loves the music that’s all that matters to me.
TUITION FEES
For your convenience, there are two payment options, by the semester or by the month.
Feel free to get in touch with me here if you have any questions.
